kurro is live: a running plan that fits your real week
On 1 October 2026, kurro went live.
Most apps show your data. kurro trains with it.
That one line is why we built it. Here is what it means, who it is for, and how to start.
The problem with most training plans
You probably know the two kinds.
The first is a plan from a book or a PDF. Sixteen weeks, the same for everyone. It does not know you run with your club on Tuesday. It does not know Thursday is a 30-minute day. Miss a run and it carries on as if nothing happened.
The second is an app full of charts. It shows you everything about your last run, then leaves the thinking to you. What should you run tomorrow? You decide.
We wanted neither. We wanted a plan that knows your week and your body, and does the planning for you.
What kurro does
It fits your real week. Tell kurro how your week really looks. Club night on Tuesday. Only 30 minutes on Thursday. No long run this weekend. A holiday next month. kurro builds the plan around all of it.
It rebuilds every day. Life changes, and so does your plan. Every night kurro looks at what you ran, what you missed, and how you are doing. Tomorrow's run always fits where you are today. You never have to replan by hand.
It learns your body. Every run tells kurro more about your paces and how much training you can handle. The plan fits you, not a template. A bike ride or a swim counts as training too, not as a missed run.
It is honest about your goal. Pick a goal time, or let kurro suggest one. It aims for a time that is ambitious but within reach on race day, not an impossible pace that breaks you in week six.
Every session explains itself. Tap "Why this workout?" and you get the reason in plain words. If your plan changes, "What changed & why" tells you what moved and why.
And there is a coach you can talk to. Ask anything about your training in plain language. It knows your plan, your goal and how you are doing.
Who kurro is for
kurro is for runners who already track their runs and want to get faster or go further, without guessing.
Maybe you are training for your first half marathon. Maybe you want a faster 10K, or you are building for a spring marathon. Maybe you just want to keep running, week after week, without getting hurt or bored. kurro plans for 5K up to the marathon, and for staying fit between races.
You don't need fancy gear. Your runs from the apps you already use, or files straight from your watch, are enough. Heart rate and sleep data make the plan even better.
How to start
It takes about two minutes.
- Connect your runs. Link the apps you already use, or upload files from your watch.
- Pick your goal and your days. A race, a distance, or just "keep fit". Then tell kurro which days you can run, and which days are short.
- Run. Your plan is ready. Send the workouts to your watch and go.
What it costs
You can start without paying anything. The free plan trains you for one goal, adapts every day, sets your goal time and race predictions, lets you choose your rest days and long-run day, sends workouts to your watch, and gives you a few coach questions each week.
kurro Pro shapes the plan even more around you. Your predictions learn from your own races. Your plan learns how you respond to training. Your sessions adapt to your sleep and recovery each morning. You get the full coach, and you can manage your plan from Claude or ChatGPT.
Pro costs €4.99 a month or €39.99 a year, and you can try it free for 14 days.
What comes next
This blog is new too. Every week we write about one thing that helps you run better: how to taper, why easy runs should feel easy, how to run a big city marathon. No jargon, no hype, and we say where our advice comes from.
